It all started like this.

It all started like this. I always wanted to work in helping relationship. However, I did not know in which area. Then, I enrolled in techniques of intervention in delinquency. I will soon finish my technique, but I still have questions, wondering if I should continue at the University or if I should go directly to work. If you were in my place what would you do, knowing that every choice has advantages and disadvantages.

You think it’s important that other employees take the job as serious as you and you are planning OJT with the budget they have. It takes all your time and you are the only one putting efforts. You realise you can’t do it anymore. What would you do?
Choice 1: Have a sick leave to cause exhaustion
Choice 2: Try to find a better job






























Scene 11.

In youth and Adult Correctional Services, it is important to take care of you mental health. It will allow you do stay focus at your job. If a situation takes place and you realize you can’t keep on working, you should go see a doctor and take time to rest before attempting work again.

Working in a youth center is not always easy. Teenagers can miss behave. One day, a teenager was disturbing the rest of the group, while playing an activity. He started throwing objects. What would you do?
Choice 1:Ask the other stakeholder to take the lead of the group while you try to calm the teenager

While trying to talk calmly with him, the teenager starts screaming and saying bad thing to the personal. He also keeps on throwing objects

This is a good choice. Usually, residence are not expensive. It allows the student to go to school, work and have it's own independance.

Choice 2: You decide to pursue and do efforts because it’s really what you want

You realize that you are not at your place because you never thought one day you will become a janitor. What do you think is the best to do?
Choice 1: You will continue because you need money to pay your bills
Choice 2: You take classes in the afternoon for improvement

It`s true that in life people all they do is work. Besides working all day long, you can take some classes while working. It can offer you new jobs with a better wage.

After three months, you receive a job that don’t need you to complete your university which means you don`t need to do an intern. What would you do?
Choice 1: You will accept, knowing that you will not be able to finish your internship and you will not have a diploma
Choice 2: You refuse because you want to finish and have your diploma and go back to your country because you already have a job waiting for you

I don't think this is the best choice to make because you never know what can happen in the futur. If I were you, I would finish my internship and get my degree.

This is a good choice because you know that at the end of the day, you will have a diploma and maybe you will be able to go work in different places.

You realise you’ve been waiting for more then six months. What do you think is best for you?

It's not the best idea, but it can always be an option. You can work and apply at the same time for different jobs.

This is a good choice. Making your own steps will allow you to work where you feel like working, like maybe in a halfway house.
